The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly restricted media access in 2020, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get some juicy quotes from players.
On a Zoom conference after practice, outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul was asked if the quarterback situation was a factor in his return to Tampa Bay. He had this to say.
“Not necessarily, I’m going to do my thing regardless who the quarterback is or not, but I’m pretty sure they did the right thing and got a new quarterback.”
That quote is pretty telling from a veteran in the locker room. Pierre-Paul could have stopped after saying it didn’t matter who the quarterback was, but he took it a step further and said the Buccaneers made the right move by getting a new signal caller.
Regardless, it’s hard to argue against the signing of six time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.
