Tuesday, during a Zoom meeting with the media, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans spoke about Tom Brady’s influence at training camp. Evans, like the rest of the team, is excited to have such a decorated quarterback leading the charge for the Buccaneers.
“He’s like everybody else. He gets fired up at practice, making some really good throws,” Evans said. “He’s just real excited to be practicing and playing some football right now,”
The wide receiver also spoke about what he expects from them in terms of route running:
“He’s very detailed in how he wants us to run certain routes to protect the throw.”
It’s clear that although Brady is just like the rest of the guys, he’s still the leader of that offense. Players like Evans are particularly excited to have him on the field because of his knowledge. Brady makes everyone around him better, and for a young offense, the Brady effect will be in full force.
