Coach Kacy Rodgers Doesn’t Think D-Line Depth Is An Issue

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers return with almost there entire defensive line in tact from the 2019 season.

While losing Beau Allen, the Buccaneers brought in versatile Veteran Free agent Kyle Love and speedster Khalil Davis through the draft. When I asked defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers about his  confidence in the depth at the position and if the young guys would be able to step in incase of injury he said,

”were going to be a next man up group anyway… The way we approach it is everybody is very much interchangeable. We’ll have a depth chart where he plays this, he plays that, he plays that. Where god forbid something happens we’ll make the changes and just move on. Everybody is interchangeable.”

When asked about what the younger players  have shown so far in camp he said,

”the more you practice each day to me their job descriptions are filling out. Looking at Kahlil you see the quickness and the explosiveness. It’s the same thing with Ledbetter. Then you got some length with Pat. You’ve got experience, size and strength with Suh. You’ve got bulk with Vita, Nacho bulked up… if I’m looking at them they’re all  multifaceted and can do a lot of different jobs for us.”

With the confidence Rodgers has in the group and the talent they possess. You see why the defensive line continues to be a strength for this Buccaneers defense.
