Bruce Arians Speaks About the “Victim Of Volume”

In a move that Buccaneers fans have been clamoring for, Bruce Arians says Ronald Jones II needs more carries. As noted on Pro Football Talk (here), the head ball coach told Carmen Vitali,  “I don’t think there’s any doubt. He needs to have 20 touches.” Buccaneers fans most certainly agree.

The former USC standout had three consecutive 100 yard rushing games earlier this season. His 98-yard run against the Carolina Panthers was not just the highlight of his young career so far, it has been arguably one of the best highlights in 2020 for the entire Buccaneers team.

The lack of a running game in Arians’ offensive game plan has been quite obvious the last few weeks, especially in losses to the Rams, and this past Sunday, to the Chiefs. This Buccaneers team is still in search for a solid offensive identity as they begin the last quarter of the 2020 season.

Buccaneers fans would like a big part of that identity to be third year running back, Ronald Jones II.
