Buccaneers Rumored To Be Making “Strong Push” For WR Larry Fitzgerald

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have done their best to “keep the band together” for another title run. Re-signing the majority of their free agents was no minor feat thanks to a limited amount of cap space.

They were able to re-sign all of their defensive starters, but the puzzle is still missing a couple of pieces in Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown.

All of the talk has been about the Bucs bringing their own guys back and for good reason.

But apparently one outsider could find his way onto the roster.

Larry Fitzgerald is arguably the most complete, well rounded wide receiver the league has seen in quite some time. With nearly every sign pointing to him not returning to Arizona, there have been two teams linked to signing Fitzgerald. The Minnesota Vikings and now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fitzgerald grew up a Vikings fan and was even their ball boy for awhile. There’s little doubt the Vikings are the sentimental favorite to end up with Fitzgerald. But there’s one thing the Vikings can’t offer: playing with the G.O.A.T. and a legitimate shot at a Super Bowl ring.

It’s not like there aren’t ties to the Buccaneers for Fitzgerald. He thrived under head coach Bruce Arians back when he coached the Cardinals.

It has to be said that in the NFL, especially this time of year, that rumors are commonplace and at this point, this is nothing but. However, isn’t that what we all thought this time last year about a certain quarterback signing with the Buccaneers?
