Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coach Bruce Arians said that Richard Sherman will be part of the 48 active players for this Sunday’s game against the Patriots.
Arians said of Richard Sherman "we'll have him up, just in case," which is to say he'll be part of the 48 active players, but not playing unless they need him, like if another corner were to get injured or struggle Sunday.

With CB Jamel Dean being out for Sunday’s game, the Buccaneers are thin at best at the CB position.
Arians was asked if Dee Delaney would start in Dean’s place, said they’ll see. They could also turn to practice-squad corners Pierre Desir or Rashard Robinson. Ross Cockrell should be in the slot.

As Greg Auman of The Athletic reports, Arians’ was non-committal in who would start in Dean’s place. With Ross Cockrell most likely in the slot the choices are limited for the Buccaneers.
