Bucs Report Best Bets: Week Seven

0

Last week the best bets were a meaningless Eagles two point conversion away from a perfect week. Regardless, the picks move to 14-11 on the season. Another strong week in week seven and the best bets will start to bring in some real money after a slow start. Here are the games I like this week in the NFL.

Titans +4.5 vs Chiefs

These are two of the best offenses in the NFL. With stars like Derek Henry, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Julio Jones, etc. then you know you’re in for a shoot out. Especially when you consider that these are also two of the worst defenses in the NFL.

I don’t anticipate either of these teams being able to stop the other. As a result, I expect this to be a close game. I might even consider picking the Titans to win this game straight up after their impressive win over the Bills last week.

Justin Fields over 216.5 passing yards

I always try to include a Buccaneers related bet in this article. After all, this is a Bucs based website. However, I don’t love some of the main lines in this game. So I decided to dig a little deeper and found this one that stood out to me.

Justin Fields threw a career high 27 pass attempts last week. Considering the way the Bucs dominating run defense, I would expect Fields to throw even more this week. Combine that with a banged up Bucs secondary that will allow a lot of the short passes and it’s a recipe for racking up yards. I expect Fields to dink and dunk his way over this 216.5 total.

Panthers vs Giants under 43.5

These teams are really limping into this game. Injuries have big names like Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Kenny Golladay and others on the sideline. That’s a lot of star playmakers who won’t be making plays. Instead we are going to watch Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones flounder without any weapons.

On the other side of the field, these defenses both have some talent and big time players. Considering how short handed these offenses are, I expect to see a rock fight of a game that doesn’t include many points.

Lions vs Rams over 50.5

The Rams might be the best team in the NFL with one of the most explosive offenses in the league. The Lions might be the worst team in the NFL as they struggle with basically everything. This game should get ugly quickly as Matthew Stafford makes his return to Detroit.

This game should be a blowout with the Rams scoring 30+ points. If the Lions can muster just 13-17 points then this should be an easy cover. Even if they don’t, I could see the Rams covering this number by themselves.

Bengals +6.5 vs Ravens

The Bengals have played four games that were decided by three points. Their other two games were both Cincinnati wins by multiple touchdowns. On top of that, this is a division game which are always tough.

All this points to a close game, perhaps even one where the Bengals come out on top. This will be the biggest test for the Bengals this year, so this is by no means a slam dunk, but they have looked good so far this season.  I’ll take the points in this game.
