The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Carolina Panthers Sunday in the regular season finale. The Bucs have already clinched the division title and a playoff spot, so what’s the motivation? With a win a a few other teams losing the Buccaneers can improve their playoff seeding.
That’s enough to keep the team motivated for sure. But, there are a few other reasons, one being wide receiver Mike Evans needing 54 yards to post his 8th consecutive season of 1000 yards receiving. Then there’s the Gronk factor. Rob Gronkowski needs just seven catches and 85 yards to trigger two incentives. Some pretty valuable ones at that.
Bucs’ TE Rob Gronkowski needs seven catches and 85 receiving yards Sunday vs. Carolina to earn a $1 million incentive. Gronkowski has a $500K incentive for 55 catches in a season and currently has 48; he’s got another $500K incentive for 650 receiving yards and currently has 565.

Look for quarterback Tom Brady to do his best to get Gronkowski his numbers while doing the same for Evans. At the end of the day all three players and the team are more focused on winning and the subsequent playoff run.
