The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just found out that quarterback Tom Brady is coming back for the 2022 season. While there will be a ripple effect of contract restructures and player signings, one impact that was immediate was the Vegas odds.
The Buccaneers were a 20-1 odds to win the Super Bowl Sunday morning. Now, after the big “un-retire” the Bucs odds jumped all the way to 10-1, in mere minutes. The team’s odds jumped up for the NFC Championship as well, going from 10-1 to 5-1. That’s the Brady effect.

The Buccaneers obviously have a lot of work to do in restructuring contracts and keeping some of the key pieces Brady desires. Bucs general manager Jason Licht and company pulled off the unthinkable last offseason bringing back every starter. Now they’ll have to do it again. But the “odds” are in their favor.
