Gronk’s Girlfriend Camille Kostek calls BS on His Retirement

When Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ tight end Rob  “Gronk” Gronkowski announced his retorement in June it was met with a collective eye roll. There were plenty of skeptics and loads of theories and rumors.

And it wasn’t without good reason, even in the beginning of his retirement he hinted at a return. You remember the “if they sign Edelman, I’ll sign tomorrow” statement from Gronkowski? Or the barber shop video where he said he was coming back, but only after he makes Tom Brady “sweat” a little bit? So there is reason to be skeptical.

She Has Spoken

During a recent Sports Illustrated swimsuit event Gronk’s girlfriend Camille Kostek said she “honestly” doesn’t believe he’s done with football.

“I am an honest lady. And honestly, in my heart, I didn’t feel like this one is a forever one,” Kostek about Gronkowski’s retirement, via Sports Illustrated. “So, I think maybe he’ll come back again.”

Kostek is a former Patriots cheerleader who has been dating Gronkowski since 2005. She wasn’t done about Gronk’s retirement,

“I feel like him and Tom are just having fun like, ‘Retired, not retired, retired, not retired.”

Gronk Being Gronk?

This seems more believable than any of the recent reports. We all know Brady and Gronkowski are just kids at heart, we’ve seen plenty of that. But at this point, we have to take Gronk at his word that he is done. But, Kostek’s comments, and the fact that she knows Gronk better than anyone is at least something to take into consideration.

Gronkowski hasn’t changed his tone since telling ESPN’s Mike Reiss.“I’m done with football. Love the game. Love the game. And definitely blessed with all the opportunities the game of football has given me. But done with football and stepping my feet into the business world and the business ventures. Just seeing what’s out there and where I can, you know, find my place.”
