Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback Tom Brady will be away from the team for “a few days,” via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Per Rapoport, Brady is “fine” and the Buccaneers are “on board with his reasons for being absent,”

Via Greg Auman of The Athletic, “So Brady had a veteran day last Wednesday, team off Thursday, excused Friday, practiced Saturday and Sunday, team off Monday, practiced Tuesday and Wednesday, excused today. He’s practiced in three of the last six practices.”

Head coach Todd Bowles was asked about when Brady would return, “sometime around after Tennessee. He’s going to deal with some personal things. This is something we talked about before training camp started. We allotted this time because he wanted to get chemistry with the guys (in first two weeks).” Via Greg Auman of The Athletic.

Bowles was asked how confident he was Brady would be back for the week one matchup against the Cowboys.”Mine’s pretty high. There’s no doubt. Obviously there’s always going to be doubt, but I have a pretty high level of confidence.” Via Greg Auman of The Athletic.

“It’s something he needs to handle,” Bowles said. “We trust him. We talked about it. It was scheduled way before training camp.”
