The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among several teams that have reached out to the Los Angeles Rams about acquiring running back Cam Akers per reports. The report from NFL insider comes conveniently enough as the Bucs are down a running back with Chase Edmonds out 4-6 weeks.
From Schultz,
“It’s still possible Akers gets released (salary reasons), but the team is actively shopping him and he’s more than likely played his last game there.”
Sources: Several teams have checked in with the #Rams about a potential Cam Akers trade – including the #Buccaneers, #Ravens, #Raiders and #Browns – among others.

With the Buccaneers starting the season 2-0 it’s in our opinion they should be heavily interested in trading for Akers. That is of course, if the price is right.
