NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting the Carolina Panthers are “moving” to hire Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales as their next head coach.

Canales was the Buccaneers offensive coordinator in 2023, his first year ever as a coordinator AND playcaller. Before arriving in Tampa, Canales spent over a decade as an offensive assistant with the Seattle Seahawks.
