The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed free agent outside linebacker Randy Gregory Wednesday. Thursday ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting the contract is a one-year deal for $3 million dollars with the ability to earn up to $2 million more by hitting his incentives.

We don’t have the details of the incentives yet, but would imagine they’d be tied to playing time, tackles for loss, and sacks. We’ll update this article when these details become available.

Via buccaneers.com’s Scott Smith,

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have another candidate for their edge rush rotation in 2024.

On Wednesday, veteran outside linebacker Randy Gregory agreed to a one-year deal to join the Buccaneers, his fourth NFL team. In seven seasons and 72 games with the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, Gregory has recorded 22.0 sacks, 69 quarterback hits and 27 tackles for loss. Last season, he played four games for the Broncos before being traded to San Francisco, where he appeared in 12 more contests and finished the season with 3.5 sacks and 10 quarterback hits.”

Gregory was a second-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2015 out of Nebraska. He’s spent time with the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers since leaving the Cowboys in 2021.
