Eric Berry and the Kansas City Chiefs, as of now, are not expected to reach a long-term deal.
There is still a possibility that the Chiefs and Berry can get a deal done by tomorrow. Berry has not signed a tender in the hopes that he will receive a long-term deal. But, If no deal is reached, Berry would be free to negotiate with any team.
The Chiefs would have the option of matching any offer. However, any team to sign Eric Berry would have to give Kansas City two first-round draft picks as compensation.
Berry won an ESPY, last night, for being last season’s comeback player of the year.
