”I’m a lot lighter.” Tu’ikolvatu said, via Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times. The rookie defensive tackle now weighs in at 340 and says it has made everything a bit easier for him, including playing in the Florida heat. “I’m used to the heat a little bit and I know the playbook more, so I’m able to play with a lot less thinking.”

He credited his wife, Kalo, with helping slim down for the season. “I would eat salads as my meals; salads and grilled chicken. My wife helped a lot, because anytime I was tempted to eat, she would get on my butt about it.”

That’s not the only change Stevie made, he’s also shed his signature hair to help beat the heat during training camp.

“I know that was a trademark look.” He said, adding, “It feels good, but the back of my head and neck is burning now.”
