Lovie’s pleads for Bucs fans not to jumpship

Although, the improvements to our Buccaneers are very apparent. Many fans are jumping ship. There is no denying that our secondary needs much improvement. And there is no denying that the playing calling has been suspect. But you will have to agree that the overall offense has made significant improvements, this season. The addition of Jameis Winston made a lot of fans uneasy, early on. But I think after the last few weeks, that has changed. The running game is within the top 3 in the NFL. And will most likely climb all the way to the top. If we can fix our secondary and fine-tune the game plan, there will be hope for us yet.

“I know it’s a lot, but we’re just asking you to stay with us,” Smith said Monday on the Buccaneers Radio Network, via JoeBucsFan.com. “I mean, your team was up 24-0 and we didn’t get the job done, but eventually we’re going to get over that hump.” And “It won’t get any easier on Sunday, when the Bucs travel to Atlanta to take on the 6-1 Falcons. Then come the Giants and Cowboys, visiting the place where the Bucs have won only once since Smith became the head coach.” – Reported by Mike Florio
