John Lynch will be inducted into the Bucs’ ring of honor at halftime of the November 3rd Thursday Night game against Atlanta.


The Buccaneers announced on Thursday the game themes for the 2016 season, which will see former safety John Lynch inducted into the team’s ring of honor. That will take place on Thursday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons on November 3rd. The complete list of themes for all 2016 home games is below:


Friday 8/26 – Nationally televised game against the Cleveland Browns; Halftime entertainment provided by the junior cheerleaders and this will be the first chance fans get to see the stadium renovations (new video boards).

Thursday 9/1 – Last preseason home game against the Washington Redskins will celebrate the NFL’s Youth Football Initiative.


Sunday 9/25 – Home opener against the Los Angeles Rams celebrating the NFL’s Kickoff theme.

Sunday 10/2 – Home game against the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos celebrating the NFL’s Play 60 campaign against childhood obesity.

Sunday 10/30 – Home game against the Oakland Raiders highlighted by pink stadium and team accents to show support for breast cancer awareness. This year, the Treasure Chests 5k race to raise money for the cause will be held on 10/29.

Thursday 11/3 – Thursday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons; Former Safety John Lynch and his number 47 will be inducted into the Bucs’ ring of honor; COLOR RUSH GAME.

Sunday 11/13 – Home game against the Chicago Bears; the annual Salute to Service game – plenty of tributes throughout the game

Sunday 11/27 – Home game against the Seattle Seahawks during Thanksgiving week.

Sunday 12/11 – Home game against the New Orleans Saints; Bucs’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee will be announced.

Sunday 1/1 – Home finale against the Carolina Panthers will be fan appreciation day at Raymond James Stadium. Lots of giveaways and thank you messages to the fans.
