Bucs bring in 6′ 4” Palmetto High school alumni turned AFL star, Joe Hills on Wednesday. With Humphries injured and Shorts out for the season, the Buccaneers are in need of some depth in the receiving department.

In 2011, Hill was brought in for a tryout by the Titans and didn’t make the cut due to an ankle injury and he had a tryout the following year with the Bucs but did not make the team. Since then he joined the Arena League and this season he is considered to be one of the best in AFL’s history.

Hill won AFL’s Offensive Player of the year for his 161 catches for 2,020 yards and a whopping 58 touchdowns.

Hill has always wanted to play for the Buccaneers ever since he was on Tampa’s Arena League team the Tampa Bay Storm.
