The Buccaneers have signed QB Sean Renfree and OL James Stone to future contracts. Renfree who is 26 years old was drafted by the Falcons out of Duke University in 2013. Renfree spent his entire rookie season on IR. In 2015 he threw 7 passes completing three for a total of 11 yards and one interception. Renfree could battle for a number three spot on the depth chart if Glennon is to leave Tampa.
Stone was an undrafted rookie in 2014 and started nine games as their center. After tearing his ACL in December of 2015, he was released with an injury settlement. Stone has ties to Mike Bajakian as he played at the University of Tennesee in 2013 while Bajakian was the quarterback’s coach. Stone will battle for a backup guard and/ or center position.
