Seven were selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Morten Anderson, Kurt Warner, Jerry Jones, LaDainian Thomlinson, Jason Taylor, Terrel Davis, and Kenny Easley, but no John Lynch.

Lynch, who had made nine Pro Bowl appearances during his 15-year career, had also earned All-Pro recognition from 1999-2001 and followed that with a Super Bowl win with the Buccaneers.

John Lynch is easily considered to be one of the hardest-hitting safety, and one of the best to ever play the game. He sparked fear into his opponents and some of the hits he put on guys, will forever be embedded in their minds.

After retiring from the NFL, Lynch became a Fox Sports analyst, has won the Buccaneers Ring of Honor, and the Broncos Ring of Fame. He had been a finalist for the Hall of Fame three years running. Lynch is currently the 49ers new General Manager.
