The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have some decisions to make as the waiver period began on Monday. One decision is whether to fully guarantee Lavonte David’s salary for 2017. I believe they will, however, if they do not, then Lavonte David can be cut.
David certainly earned his insignificant $6 million in guarantees for this upcoming season, and some even debate whether or not he is getting paid enough. I am one of those who believes he should get a pay raise.
The free agency, this year, may be flooded with solid players whose teams are not willing to full fill their guaranteed money as some of those guarantees are hitting as high as $17 million or more, so this could be one of the most talent-packed free agencies that I can remember.
