The Buccaneers have hired Anthony Perkins as their new assistant to the head coach. He got his start into coaching as a technical intern under for Buffs head coach John Embree, following that, he spent two years as Corners coach at Indiana State University, before spending the last two seasons as the secondary coach at Ohio University. Perkins will replace Zack Grossi who was promoted to offensive quality control coach.

Perkins always wanted to play in the NFL and in 2012 he had his chance to play for the Denver Broncos as a safety when they invited him to camp where he earned playing time in three preseason games, but that was the epitome of his NFL career as a player.
