Bucs can’t re-sign Jacquizz Rodgers, yet.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cannot re-sign, running back, Jacquizz Rodgers until march 9th and cannot negotiate with him until March 7th. The reason behind the wait is because of a technical rule embedded within the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

According to Scott Reynolds: The Buccaneers and Rodgers both will want to make a deal happen as soon as they are officially allowed to make it happen. Considering how well Rodgers had filled in for the injured Doug Martin, last season, it is more than likely that both parties will agree on a multi-year contract.

I believe Scott Reynolds is correct in his assertion that the Buccaneers and Rodgers come to an agreement rather quickly. Rodgers played 10 games for theBuccaneers last year and recorded a career-high 560 yards on the ground, a 4.3 yard per carry average, and two touchdowns. He also caught 13 passes for 98 yards.
