Darrelle Revis in trouble with the law.

Veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis is facing some hefty charges this week, after an allegedly participating in a fight with two men over the last weekend. Those charges include two counts of aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, and terroristic threats.

Revis’ attorney released a statement saying that Revis was actually in fear for his safety and that he was physically assaulted by a group of people that resulted in him having to seek medical attention. The Jets have knowledge of the incident and have since spoken to Revis about the situation but have yet to release anything more about the incident or Revis future with the team.

According to the police, the alleged fight began when a young man in his early 20’s, saw Revis and after Revis confirmed he was an NFL player the man began recording him with his phone at which time Revis proceeded to take the man’s phone and tried to delete the video. Another man stepped in and tried to help the young man retrieve his phone when Revis then through the phone into the road. A fight broke out between the three in which another stepped in to help Revis.

According to the police, two people attacking Revis were punched and knocked out. Revis plans on turning himself in once a warrant is issued.
