The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been linked to several players in this year’s NFL Draft. The Buccaneers own the number 19 pick and in this mock draft will be bolstering their linebackers.
Bucky Brooks has the Buccaneers selecting LB Jarrad Davis. The 6-1, 236 lb linebacker is a senior from the University of Florida and if selected, he will join two other young talented linebackers, in Kwon Alexander and LaVante David.
Davis played four years in the SEC and racked up an impressive 201 tackles, and also recording 5.5 sacks in those four years.
Tampa Bay seems to be crowded at linebacker and most fans would like to see other weaknesses addressed with the 19th pick, but Davis is solid.
There have been experts refer to him as, ‘The Next Ray Lewis’. If that is the case, getting him at 19 would be the steal of the draft.
The only problem I can forsee would be playing time. Devante Bond is also eyeing a starting spot with the Buccaneers. We will see what happens in the draft, but if Davis is there don’t be surprised if he lands in Tampa.
