Marlon Mack and Tampa have been said so many times in the same sentence since his declaration for the draft that it may as well become a reality. Mack and the Bucs have met together many times and it comes as no surprise as Mack lives right across the bridge and shows up at One Buc place almost daily.
The Buccaneers are seen to have a debacle at the running back position although the depth is fairly deep there, mostly the debacle is coined from the Doug Martin situation and the belief for many that Rodgers is not the feature back we need. Mack had a great combine clocking 4.5 in the 40, hammering out 15 reps on the bench. His 35.5 vert at combine shows that he can get up there and make catches out of the backfield and his footwork drill was impressive enough to think that he could be a solid second round pick for any team. I hope it is Tampa.
Mack’s explosiveness and toughness allow him to make big plays happen consistently and that is something Tampa wants especially if Doug Martin isn’t able to get back into shape.
