This is another one of those “Incase you haven’t heard” stories. Aaron Hernandez is serving a life sentence for a murder he committed in 2013, but Friday, he was acquitted of a double homicide that prosecutors said was sparked by a spilled drink.

After almost a week of deliberations, a jury had found Hernandez not guilty of first-degree murder in the slaying of Daniel deAbreu and Safiro Furtado, however, he was convicted for the unlawful possession of a firearm in that case which added four years to his existing life sentence.

Part if Hernandez’s defense team on the double murder trial had included Jose Baez, who is known for winning an acquittal for Casey Anthony in 2011.
