Time to knock the dust, rust and everything else the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have all over them it is time to play regular season football. Due to Hurricane Irma the week one game was postponed till later in the season. Here are some things to look out for.
Jameis Starting Slow– Since his final season at FSU Winston has been notorious for starting slow and being unstoppable later in the game. If Winston wants to take the next step in being an NFL QB he has to start faster.
Defense vs. Bears Run Game– Jordan Howard was the second leading rusher in the NFL last season. The Buccaneers run defense was middle of the road at best last season. Will the addition of Chris Baker help with the run game? Only time will tell.
Who will the Bears double– Everyone on the Buccaneers schedule has to face this, but who will the Bears double? If you double Mike Evans you leave DeSean Jackson open and vice versa. It will be interesting to see what poison they pick.
Will the secondary step up-When looking at the Buccaneers defense the secondary is the weak link in the chain. Hargreaves has to play more physical and safety play has to come stronger.
Buccaneers Run Game – With Doug Martin serving his suspension Quiz Rodgers will get the start. Rodgers had three 100 games last season will he continue. Also look for Peyton Barber to get plenty of snaps.
