Bucs Sign Defensive End and a Safety.

The Buccaneers have added another two players to the roster fill the allotted 90 spots, however, Tampa will have 91 players on this roster, heading into training camp. The reason for the extra player is because Bucs linebacker Eric Nzeocha* is exempt from counting towards the roster, due to his participation in the International Practice Squad Program

Tampa Bay will actually carry 91 players as linebacker Eric Nzeocha is exempt as part of an international practice squad program.

Bucs recently signed two more undrafted rookies Safety Josh Lidell and DE Kiante Anderson.

Josh Lidell is a 6’1, 211 lbs, safety, out of Arkansas. He was previously signed by Tampa after the NFL draft but was let go of after rookie training camp. During his 4 seasons with the Arkansas Razorbacks, he recorded 96 solo tackles, 9 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, 3.5 sacks, and 5 interceptions.

Kiante Anderson is a 6’4, 250 lbs, defensive end, out of East Carolina. During his 3 seasons as an East Carolina Pirate, he saw action in only two seasons, playing in 18 games, recording 4.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles (one which he recovered), and 30 solo tackles.

The 6’3, 212 lbs, linebacker Eric Nzeocha, from Germany, played 4 seasons with the Wyoming Cowboys, recording 64 solo tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 3 passes defended. He earned himself a spot on the Buccaneers 11- man practice squad in September of last year, he is participating in the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program
