The Buccaneers had a solid shot at making the playoffs this year, if they could have beaten the Saints and finished the season at 9-7. There really wouldn’t have been a whole lot keeping the Bucs from taking the last Wild Card if that happened. But it didn’t happen.
The Bucs could win out from this point on and end the season with an 8-8 record, and that’s great! But it may not be enough to make the Wild card.
Although the Buccaneers are still alive in the hunt, giving up 25 unanswered points in the second half of last week’s game, buried the Buccaneers.
With a less than 1% chance of making it to the postseason, the Buccaneers would need a miracle at this point.
So, now is the time to make the best of the remaining season. Winning a couple of more games is all we fans, really, have left to look forward to this season.
