David Being David

This season the Bucs’ defense has been atrocious, which comes as no surprise to Bucs fans. The fact that GM Jason Licht can’t seem to put together a decent squad on the defensive side of the ball is a joke. Having said that, one thing has remained constant over the years, and that’s the play of OLB Lavonte David.

David, who has been with the Bucs since they took him in the second round of the 2012 draft, has become the main cog in the Buccaneers’ defense. The one thing fans have become accustomed to is the solid play of David, game in and game out. His play this season sums it up very well. His stats this year are as follows: 110 tackles, 13 TFL, 3.5 sacks, and 2 FR over 13 games played.

So is anyone really surprised that David has put together another great season? Nah. That’s just David being David.
