Donovan Smith wants to stay in Tampa.
Donovan joined NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” to talk about the his combine experience, what the offseason has in store for him, and about Jameis Winston.
Watch the video:
Smith was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL draft. He has started all 64 games of his career. Smith has been widely criticized by the media and fanbase for his untimely penalties.
The Buccaneers are in the position to choose between resigning Smith, franchise tagging him or simply letting him walk.
My suggestion is to move him inside to guard and resign him to an incentive laden contract.
Time will tell how the Donovan Smith situation will play out, but at this point Smith has interest in remaining in Tampa Bay.
