Report: Sapp Invited To Attend OTA’s & Training Camp

In just a few short months it looks like a Bucs Hall of Famer will be present for OTA’s and training camp for the 2019 season. And it is none other than former Buccaneers DT Warren Sapp. Maybe some of that Hall of Fame talent will rub off on some key players on defense.

During the week leading up to the Super Bowl, Sapp hinted that him and Head Coach Bruce Arians has conversations about Sapp helping out around One Buc Place. For a defense who struggled to find their identity last season, maybe they could use a tip or two from the Tampa Bay legend.

In an interview with Bucs CB De’Vante Harris on Fanatics View, Sapp confirmed that he would be present for OTA’s and training camp. He also remarked to Harris,

“You got that man… You got that man [Bruce Arians]. Bring in Todd Bowles and that defense. Boy y’all are fixing to chomp and bite. Oh and you know they invited me to OTA’s and training camp? We are right with you…. Time to get Raymond James rockin’ like it used to… Fire them cannons.”

Now Warren Sapp has no professional experience coaching. Especially at the NFL level, but with that said he has a plethora of experience and a Super Bowl ring to top it off.

Many players and those around Tampa Bay have not commented highly of Sapp’s appearance around the Bucs in recent years. But maybe under the new Arians regime he may be able to get the most out of the Super Bowl winner’s defensive wisdom.
