Tony Pollard, Running Back, Memphis

HT: 6’0” WT: 210 lbs

Overview:

According to most NFL mock drafts, Tony Pollard should get selected in the sixth round of the draft. With Tampa Bay’s running back situatioin being highly uncertain, Jason Licht and the Buccaneers’ front office should consider using a late pick on this very promising prospect.

Pollard ran a 4.52 seconds in the 40-yard dash and, depending on whether or not Ronald Jones can produce in training camp, would have a great chance to contribute to the running game right off the bat. If he is still on the board in round seven and the Bucs have not used an earlier pick on a running backt, Pollard might end up being a steal. In 2018, he averaged 7.1 yards per carry and has been a threat in the passing game out of the backfield throughout his whole career.

Pros:

– Proven playmaker with athletic NFL-frame
– Excellent catch and run abilities
– Great kick returner

Cons:

– Struggles to haul in bad throws
– Impatient with ball in his hands
