Bucs Report Mock Draft 1.0
Welcome back Buccaneer fans to the Bucs Report Mock Draft 1.0. In my mock draft I address the total team with my pick selections.
The Buccaneers have to many holes throughout their roster to stay at the 5th position. The offense was one of the best in yards but we didn’t have a strong enough defense to get us by in those close games.
Round 1 *Trade* W/Cincinnati White, Devin LB LSU
Round 2 Polite, Jachai EDGE UF
Round 2 Lawrence, Dexter DL Clemson
Round 3 Lindstrom, Chris OL BC
Round 3 Ya-Sin, Rock DB Temple
Round 4 Henderson, Darrell RB Memphis
Round 5 Isabella, Andy WR UMass
Round 6 Dogbe, Michael DL Temple
I have the Bengals trading up to grab a top QB in the draft. The Bengals have a new HC in Zac Taylor and when teams hire a new HC they usually want a new QB to fit their system. Andy Dalton’s contract was a teams friendly contract. Dalton is due to make 16 million in 2019 and the Bengals can cut or trade Dalton without having any dead cap on their hands.
Buccaneers have to take the best option in Devin White with the Bengals picks and thats filling the hole at inside LB white has the size needed to play inside LB in the Bucs new hybrid 4-3, 3-4 defense.

The Buccaneers will select Jachai Polite with one of their two second round picks. Polite is familiar with rushing from his standing position and provides excellent edge moves to beat offensive tackles. Although Polite ran a slow 40 time the game tape does not lie.

Buccaneers select Dexter Lawrence with their other second round choice. The Bucs have to beef up that defensive line and learn to dominate the line of scrimmage consistently. Dexter Lawrence does just that weighing in at 346 pounds.

Buccaneers go offensive line in the 3rd round by selecting Chris Lindstrom to add depth and future security on a very thin offensive line.

Buccaneers take a break a from the defensive front and draft Rock Ya-Sin with their second third round pick. He offers depth and flexibility at the DB position.

Buccaneers select Darrell Henderson in the 4th round. The Buccaneers need speed at the RB position and although they drafted Jones in the second round last year, Henderson is too good to pass up. Henderson averaged an eye opening 8.9 yards a carry on 214 carriers in 2018. He will be a match up nightmare for linebackers and defensive backs.

The Buccaneers select Andy Isabella and Michael Dogbe are the Buccaneers last two picks. Isabella offers a new slot WR and return option while running a 4.3 at the combine. Dogbe is a selection the Buccaneers should consider because he can play every position on the defensive line and can bench press 500 pounds. He is a mountain of a man and can move people out his way with his strength. He could be a draft steal.
