With Beau Allen’s departure to New England, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches to a one-year $2.25 million deal, keeping him in Tampa. Reported first by NFL insider Adam Caplan via Twitter.
#Buccaneers and DT Rakeem Nunzez-Roches agreed to 1-year deal for up to $2.25m ($1m gtd), source said.
Could see more time with Beau Allen signing with Pats.

Nunez-Roches is only 26 years old and played 26% of the Buccaneers’ defensive snaps as well as 16% on special teams. He appeared in all 16 games in 2019 but did not start any. Nunez-Roches combined for one fumble recovery, nine combined tackles, five solo, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit in 2019.
This will add some much-needed depth back to the Buccaneers’ number one rush defense especially with both Carl Nassib and Beau Allen departing Tampa.
