With just a few weeks left until the Tampa Bay Buccaneers open their season in New Orleans, linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul was asked about the division rivals. The Saints and their players still believe they are the top dogs in the NFC South, regardless of the Bucs having Tom Brady.
“I know how those games are. They’re a battle,” Pierre-Paul said during his Zoom meeting. “That’s what we are preparing ourselves for,” he continued.
Pierre-Paul, who re-signed for another two years with Tampa in March, knows how tough and historic the rivalry is.
“There’s no reason to talk at all, let your pads do the talking.”
It’s obvious Pierre-Paul doesn’t pay attention to the Saints and their words. He understands how emotional rivalries can be, however, he’s not letting the Saints bother him.
The Buccaneers haven’t beaten the Saints since 2018 and are looking for revenge with their revamped roster.
