Welcome to the Real Bucs Talk Podcast
The Buccaneers have been extremely active this offseason and seem to have come away with every big name free agent. Recently they signed another name in Quarterback Josh Rosen to their practice squad.
Rosen was drafted in 2018 as a 10th overall pick for the Arizona Cardinals and has had zero success thus far in the NFL. He has been on two different teams (Cardinals, Dolphins) in two years, which is hardly a recipe for success.
Both teams were in tank situations and he happened to be the quaterback that helped them get their future quarterbacks with the Cardinals drafting Kyler Murray first overall in 2019 and now the Dolphins selecting Tua Tagovailoa with their 5th pick in this years draft.
With the Buccaneers signing Josh Rosen, now he has time to sit and learn and system without being thrusted into the game. As well as learn the nuances of the game from one of the greatest to play the position in Tom Brady.
This could be a huge signing down the road for the Buccaneers as they now have a young quarterback to groom for the future. At worst he doesn’t become the caliber player he was drafted to be in Arizona and the Buccaneers keep looking for their future. Its a win for both the Buccaneers and Rosen if this pans out.
Lets check out his tape to see what he can bring to Tampa Bay!
