Per Scott Smith of buccaneers.com, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a string of moves Saturday. The team signed cornerback Mazzi Wilkins off of the practice squad and onto the 53 man roster. A spot on the roster opened up with the placement of tight end Antony Auclair on the short term injured reserve list. Wilkins figures to play a role on special teams as he did in last weeks game against the New Orleans Saints. With his promotion it gives the Buccaneers six cornerbacks on the active roster.
The Buccaneers also announced they have promoted tight end Tanner Hudson and wide receiver Cyril Grayson to the 55 man roster from the practice squad. Per the new rules two players can be promoted to the active roster up to 90 mins before game time. Players can only be promoted twice during the season. This marks the second time Grayson has been promoted, making him ineligible to be promoted again.
