Consistency is one word that many football experts like to throw around to describe what they want to see or have seen from players. That word can be used to describe a few Buccaneers over the years such as Mike Evans and Lavonte David. But what can really make the difference for a team week in and week out is consistent quarterback play. Just so happens that the Buccaneers have one of those quarterbacks under center for them.
The Ageless Buccaneer Brady
At the start of the 2020 NFL season, many talking heads had already figured Tom Brady would be a shell of his former self. If the age didn’t catch up to him this season then possibly a whole new scenery would. Now let’s fast forward to week 14 of the 2020 season and tell me some of those national media personnel couldn’t have been more wrong.
Since week 14, Brady has been the best graded quarterback in the following areas:
PFF Passing Grade (94.3)
Yards per attempt (9.7)
Passing TDs (14)
Passing yards (1,714)
In that time span, the Buccaneers and Brady have gone 4-0 with their last win coming in the playoffs. December is the month of the season when teams either get going or continue to struggle. In the case of Brady and the Buccaneers, this offense has been red hot. Dare I say consistent?
