Breaking a near year long run of positive news stories for the Buccaneers, sad news today from the Tampa Bay Area. Former Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was found dead in a Brandon hotel room.

Jackson, 38 had checked into the hotel back in January 11th. His family reported him missing last Wednesday, February 10th. Hillsborough County deputies found him two days later at Homewood Suites on Palm River Road. After an assessment check, the missing persons case was dismissed.
Jackson was found dead Monday morning around 11:30 a.m. in his hotel by a housekeeper. There were no signs of trauma, deputies said. The medical examiners office has yet to assess the cause of death.
