The Buccaneers made headlines Tuesday when they franchise tagged Chris Godwin and re-signed Lavonte David to a new deal.
Are Shaq Barrett and Ndamukong Suh next?
According to Brandon Marshall of First Things First, that may just be the case. Marshall spoke with David Tuesday night via his podcast, “I Am Athlete” and apparently David said Tampa Bay is currently working toward bringing back both Suh and Barrett.

When you pair that with Tuesday’s tweet from Albert Breer, it’s easy to see why there’s room for optimism in regard to Tampa Bay’s current situation with its free agents.
Having tagged WR Chris Godwin, I'm told the Bucs have begun discussions in earnest on a long-term deal with Shaq Barrett, one of the stars of Super Bowl LV and a crucial edge-rusher in Todd Bowles' defense.
Barrett won't come cheap. But Tampa's working on keeping him.

Barrett’s recent comments saying he’s looking to “break the bank” have some weary on the feasibility of a third year in Tampa Bay. With multiple reports pegging a deal landing around $18-20 million a year, the Buccaneers will have to get creative as they did with David. Suh might be a little easier to re-sign, but either way, these developments will be something to monitor in the coming days.
