The Buccaneers aren’t done re-signing their own free agents yet. The Buccaneers are agreeing to terms with DT Steve McLendon on a one-year deal. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times was the first to report it.

McLendon was acquired in a trade with the New York Jets along with a seventh-round pick in the 2023 draft in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round selection on October 20th of last year. McLendon provided a great reinforcement on the defensive line when Vita Vea went down week five with a fractured ankle. He ended the season with 17 total tackles and two stuffs playing 25% of the snaps on defense.
