The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t exactly had great success drafting at the quarterback position. The list is long and arduous to say the least. The team has two championships, both by quarterbacks signed via free agency.

The Buccaneers selected quarterback Kyle Trask at 64th overall in this years draft. With quarterback Tom Brady at the helm, the Buccaneers won’t need someone to start immediately. So how is Trask preparing for his role with the Buccaneers? Watch the video below as he explains.

Trask talks about being in the room and learning from the greatest is an “experience like no other”. The 23 year old quarterback from Manvel Texas is no stranger to working his way up the depth chart. From high school through college, Trask has always had to climb the ladder. Trask went on to talk about the similarities of the offense he ran at Florida compared to the Bucs offense. He pointed out the run game and throwing from the pocket as two big similarities.

Trask appears to have fallen into the perfect situation here in Tampa. The Buccaneers have finally put themselves in the position to develop a quarterback the right way.

It definitely is a new day in Tampa Bay.
