The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gearing up for their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Per Greg Auman of The Athletic, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians confirmed that safety Jordan Whitehead will not play in the season opener.

Whitehead has been nursing a hamstring throughout training camp. Arians was optimistic as recently as Monday that Whitehead could play, but made it official that he was out for the season opener against Dallas.
