Bucs Report Best Bets: Week Three

0

After a rough week two, I’m looking for a big bounce back performance this week. My picks went 2-3 last week, putting me at 6-4 on the year. After looking at the slate of games, here are the games I like the most to bet on this weekend.

Colts +5.5 vs Titans

Make no mistake, at 0-2 the Colts are a desperate team. Especially entering a game against their biggest competition to win their division. If Indianapolis drops this game then the rest of the season will be an uphill battle for their playoff chances.

With that said, I wouldn’t bet on this game based on desperation alone. The Colts have an advantage in the trenches and should be able to run the ball with success. They also have an advantage in their coaching staff. I expect the Colts to be the more physical and more prepared team in this game to make things close. Even with questions at who the quarterback this week, this feels like too many points.

Seahawks -2.5 vs Vikings

Seattle won comfortably vs the Colts and was on track to do the same last week until collapsing down the stretch against the Titans. Those are both good teams who will challenge for the playoffs. Now they travel to Minnisota to face the 0-2 Vikings.

The Vikings have been close but no cigar in their losses against Arizona and Cincinnati. I view Seattle as better than either of those opponents. If Bobby Wagner and Jamal Adams can limit Delvin Cook then I don’t think the Vikings will be able to keep up in this game. Seahawks by a touchdown for me.

Bengals +144 On the Moneyline vs Pittsburgh

The Steelers are in rough shape. A ragtag offensive line. The inability to run the ball. An aging quarterback who may or may not play with an injury this week. All this and the Steelers are still favored?

That’s a lot of factors going against one team. Not to mention some injuries on defense have them far less than 100%. I’m not sure I would put this in my parlay, but I like the Bengals as a sneaky winner this week.

Raiders – 4.5 vs Dolphins

The Dolphins offensive line has been struggling. We saw as much when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was carted off last week with broken ribs. So now a backup quarterback will play this week with that same struggling offensive line? Doesn’t seem like a recipe for success.

The Raiders have been very good to start the year. Wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh have put the league on notice. Defensive end Maxx Crosby has been one of the best pass rushers in the NFL this year. Seems like a matchup that favors a Raiders cover.

Rams + 1.5 vs Bucs

I truly struggle with this game. These are the best two teams in the NFL. What makes me lean towards the Rams is them getting points and being at home. The Rams have played very well this year and despite everything the Bucs bring to the table L.A. shouldn’t be a home underdog.

I also like the health and matchup situation for Los Angeles. The Bucs are not at full strength; without Sean Murphy-Bunting and Antonio Brown. These types of losses are typically what makes the difference when two great teams square off against each other.
