Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coach Bruce Arians announced Friday that wide receiver Jaydon Mickens and outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul are both out for this Sunday’s game against the Rams.

Neither Mickens nor Pierre-Paul practiced all week. Pierre-Paul recently received a second opinion on his shoulder injury, rest was the recommendation from the doctor. Mickens is dealing with an abdominal injury. Both players will stay in Tampa and not travel with the team.
Bucs Joe Tryon-Shoyinka will start in place of Jason Pierre-Paul. Reason why they took an OLB with their first pick. “We got lucky with that one,” Arians said. “He’s a pretty damn good one, too…He’ll make some mistakes but he’s going to make some plays, too.”

With Pierre-Paul out, Arians said rookie outside linebacker JoeTryon-Shoyinka will start in his place. Look for rookie Jaelon Darden to pick up the kick return duties in Mickens’ absence.
