Report: Buccaneers Turned Down Three Trade Offers for Jones

Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones gets his first start in awhile Sunday in Charlotte against the Panthers. With the emergence of Leonard Fournette during last year’s Super Bowl run and to start this season Ronald Jones hasn’t seen much playing time. That ends Sunday in Charlotte.

Leading up to this seasons trade deadline, Jones was one of the odds on favorites to be moved. Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was steadfast that the team had no interest in trading Jones.

Sunday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that the Bucs did on fact turn down three trade offers for Jones.

No information on which three teams, or how much was offered, but in hindsight it’s a good thing the Buccaneers didn’t move Jones.
