The Tampa Bay Buccaneers open up the 2021 playoffs looking to defend their Super Bowl championship form a year ago, and their first test, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles came into this game winning seven out of their last ten games to end the regular season and on a high note. That did not carry over into the postseason what so ever.

Tom Brady, who started his 46th career playoff game, took the field to a packed Raymond James Stadium and the offense looked great. Running back Giovani Bernard scored on the opening drive on a two yard touchdown giving the Bucs a 7-0 lead. The Buccaneers defense came to play from the start holding the Eagles to 0 pints in the first half and forcing two turnovers.

Brady and Rob Gronkowski made NFL postseason history connecting for their record 15th touchdown together. The Eagles scored two touchdowns late in the game but it wasn’t enough as Brady would win his 35th career playoff game.

The Buccaneers advance to the Divisional round game next week, we will not know who they play until after Mondays game between the Rams and Cardinals is played. The Buccaneers, who’s offense is missing Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown and Leonard Fournette still can put up points and the defense looks fresh and healthy.
